Sulsel Experience, Maros — In an effort to maintain the stability of security and public order (Kamtibmas), Maros Police Chief AKBP Douglas Mahendrajaya, S.H., S.I.K., M.I.K., M.Tr.opsla with Regent Maros H.A.S. Chaidir Syam and Dandim 1422/Maros Lt. Col. Arm Agung Yuhono conducted an air patrol using a Polri helicopter, Wednesday (07/09/2025).
The air patrol was carried out to directly monitor various strategic points in the Maros Regency, ranging from the city center, main routes, industrial areas, to congestion and crime-prone areas as well as the natural forest area of Maros Regency.
Maros Police Chief revealed that this activity was a form of synergy between the TNI, Polri, and regional governments in maintaining security and services to the community.
“With this air patrol, we can see thoroughly the condition of the Maros region from the air. This is very helpful in mapping vulnerable points, especially ahead of major activities and guarantees security for the community,” said AKBP Police Chief Douglas Mahendrajaya.
According to him, supervision from the air is a modern step that can support the effectiveness of handling Kamtibmas problems and traffic order.
“Maros as a big city buffer area like Makassar does require an adaptive and collaborative security approach,” he said.
Maros Police Chief emphasized the commitment of the Maros Regional Police to continue to work together with the TNI and regional governments in maintaining regional conduciveness.
The air patrol that lasted for approximately one hour went smoothly and provided a full picture of the situation in the field.
The results of monitoring will be an evaluation material for future security measures, including planning the placement of security and security infrastructure, (red).
